Habitat

Mainly a woodland slug, inhabiting both deciduous and coniferous forests, also on rocks and meadows, less frequent in synanthropic environments. 1)



Sources

Pyrenees to Black Sea, Scandinavia to Caucasus and Ural. Not in Italian peninsula, most probably not on Iberian peninsula. Greece: only in the northern parts. In Europe up to 2900 m.



Further information

Omnivorous, feeding mainly on mushrooms, but consumes also dead and alive parts of flower plants, fruit and vertebrate excrements.
The most widely distributed species of Arionidae.
